CONTROLLER

Position Overview:
San Bar Construction Corporation is currently recruiting to fill the position of Construction Controller. The Controller is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, production of financial reports, maintaining strong accounting systems and records and management of their staff. Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Assist the CFO in overseeing financial operations and systems of the company to include the following:
• Manage Account Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
• Prepare monthly financial reports, general ledger reconciliation and analytical reports
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal control recommending enhancement and develop efficient financial operation processes
• Manage cash flow, oversee cash flow forecasting and revenue projections
• Oversee tax reporting and compliance
• Hire, train and evaluate accounting staff, ensure they have the adequate tools and resources
• Assist the CFO on special projects
• Oversee certified payroll for public works projects

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of six years of experience in accounting, preferably construction
• Supervisory or management role overseeing an accounting function or department
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles, accounting concepts, legal requirements and best practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to create, analyze and present data from a variety of sources
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite and ProContractor by Viewpoint
• Understanding of NM State & Federal Accounting Regulations
• Thorough understanding of NM Department of Labor Regulations
• Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Positive team-oriented attitude

Salary
• $60,000 – $80,000 per year
